Various Cards

I haven't posted any of my cards in quite awhile so I thought I would add a few now.  As many of you, there is something about rounded squares that I really like.  Here are three very different looks using rounded squares.

Using one of the stamps from the card word puzzle stamp set, I created the patterned background at the bottom of the card.  I used one of the other stamps to be my accent on foam tape (puffy, if you like the 'technical' term better... lol).  The border is the zip strip from the Elemental paper pack.

Close To My Heart card stock is great to use with your Cuttlebug folders because you always have the option of sanding the paper so that the white core of the card stock shows thru.  I think it gave this card a very pretty, feminine look.

Guy cards... always a challenge.  I think the second generation stamping is what makes this card.

I should say that many of my card ideas started with something that I saw on Pinterest - always a great source of inspiration.

December SOTM - Year Round Cheer

What a great stamp set... so versatile and meant to be used all year long!!

And if you can't think of enough ways to use this stamp set, consider cutting your stamps.  Yes, I really did say that.  I know this might give some of you (and me too... lol) a heart attack but you can.... cut your stamps!!!  Carefully cut the sayings off and you now have two separate stamps.
Tip: If it's hard to get your scissors between the two elements GENTLY stretch the stamp and spread the area out and then cut with the very tip of your scissors (the CTMH micro-tip scissors work good for this).  Once the stamps have been separated, it will be so easy to use the stamp to create a great background.

Or if cutting your stamp is too radical, you can simply ink the part of the stamp you want to use.  Remember post-it notes are great ways to cover part of your stamp.

The Year Round Cheer SOTM is only $5.00 (a $17.95 value) when you place a $50 order on my website.  The Year Round Cheer stamp set is only available from December 1 - 31, 2012.  As an added bonus, when you spend $50 you will receive a free glue pen (a $4.50 value).
