More Triple Stamping Cards...

We had fun Saturday at the crop making cards using the triple stamping technique.  Check out the cards below...

The card above used the January Stamp of the Month - Happy Valentine's but replaced the sentiment with 'Happy Birthday'

The 'i adore you' card was made using the CTMH Adore stamp set (a great value at only $6.95).

This card is a great example of how to mix and match stamp sets and colors... really, there are different colors.  The colored card stock and heart are smokey plum.  The sentiment, peacock feathers and flourishes are all stamped in black.  The sentiment is from the January SOTM - Happy Valentine's - we were able to get the words to span the colored card stock with no extra effort.  It worked out perfect.  The peacock feathers and flourishes are both from CTMH Circle of Love (retired).  The flourish was lined up and overlayed the flourish at the end of the sentiment - it gave the card just the right look.

If you are interested in the January Stamp of the Month, remember it is only available until January 31st.

January SOTM - Happy Valentine's

Once I finally finish my Christmas cards, I usually have a hard time getting back into making cards - a little stale with ideas.  I admit the cards I have made so far with the January Stamp of  the Month - Happy Valentine's were all inspired by other cards I have seen on-line.  Feels like the creative juices are finally flowing again.

First I've been wanting to try the triple stamping for a long time.  The Happy Valentine's stamp set lends itself so nicely to this technique.  These are my first two attempts with this technique so don't look to close... lol

I love all of the detail with this stamp set so I had to see how it would look once I colored it.

I know brown isn't a traditional Valentine's Day color but once I got started with the brown.....

The white daisy ink is perfect for all of the detail in this stamp set.  I love how rich these look.

My Christmas Card (a little late)

I know Christmas is over but I'm finally catching up on somethings I just haven't gotten to yet....  Below is the Christmas card I sent out this year (2012).

This shows both the outside and inside of the card.  The card base is CTMH slate grey which I scored to make siding.  The sentiment, mice and Christmas tree are all from the CTMH Merry Little Christmas stamp set (retired).

For anyone that wants to make a window card, I will share my biggest hurdle.... don't laugh.  I had all these wonder ideas but nothing was quite right.  Then I realized that the front of my card was the outside of the house and you were looking thru the window to the outside.  Once I finally realized it would work much better if I had an outside of the house and an inside of the house, the card design was soooo much easier.
